Purchasing Information

Deposits for either sex are $300

Our Process

We want your experience of getting a puppy from us to be fun and exciting, we do not want anyone to “settle” for any puppy! We are a small, family run kennel and we have worked hard to become a trusted, reputable breeder of Mini Goldendoodles! Through trial and error we have learned that a reservation by a deposit is by far the fairest, most efficient way for our puppies to be placed.

A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to be placed on our reservation list for a puppy (the $300 is applied to the total purchase price of the puppy) We accept cash, money order, personal check, Venmo or PayPal (friends and family option only) for deposits.

When we have available puppies we will work from our list of people who have paid reservations starting with the oldest reservation first (in other words we have a first come first served system). We also may have people who paid a reservation at some time in the past but they may not have been ready for a puppy at the time, they may be wanting a puppy from a specific female, or they may have other reasons for waiting. These people may elect to choose a pup at any time. We call the order in which you will be able to select a puppy your “pick order.” An example would be, based on when reservations were paid you may have “3rd choice female” which means if we had a litter of 4 females and 3 males, you will ave two females to choose from.

Picking Out/Picking Up Your Puppy

We generally like to complete “picking out” and “picking up” your puppy on the same visit however this may not always be possible based on a variety of reasons such as the number of puppies/litters we have available, the ages of the puppies, and other variables. In those cases we will split “Puppy Pick” and “Puppy Pick Up” visits, usually within one to two weeks of each other. In either case, you will be given an hour to interact with all the puppies available to see which pup chooses you! It is important to be on time for your appointment so you will have the full hour to interact with the pups. Appointments are made based on the order of receipt of your reservation. We will work with you on alternate dates, assist with puppy picks by videos and FaceTime, and do whatever we can to facilitate your puppy pick but we cannot allow picks to be done out of order. We will notify you in advance about the date(s) of picking out and/or picking up your puppy. Although this has never happened, if we do not have a puppy that suits you, you can elect to defer getting a puppy from the next or a future litter, most likely with a higher pick order. Finally, we do not let any puppy go to their forever home before 7 weeks of age or before they have had their VeterinarianExam.

If you are undecided on what gender of puppy you want we ask that you please make that decision as soon as possible after the puppies are born. We send out weekly pictures and updates as well as we post pictures on our FB page to help you with that decision. It becomes extremely complicated for us to schedule appointments the longer a client(s) remain undecided because we do not know which pups are available for the next person on our reservation list.

On the day you pick up your puppy we require full payment in cash, no other form of payment will be accepted. Please read below about what you will receive and what you will need to bring with you when you pick up your puppy to take home and our policies on shipping/delivering a puppy.

Puppies are expected to go home on the day scheduled for puppy pick up. If you cannot pick up your puppy in person on pick up day we ask that you make arrangements for a family member or friend to pick up the puppy for you. Depending on our schedule we MAY be able to hold a puppy for up to 2 days but this is not guaranteed and we will need at least a month’s notice. We often schedule our family time, vacations, “breaks” around when we do not have puppies, thank you for your understanding!

On Puppy Pick Up Day you will receive:

  • A signed copy of the Bill of Sale/Health Guarantee

  • A starter pack of puppy food

  • A copy of your Puppy’s Veterinarian record (shots/worming record)

  • A CKC registration form

  • Information regarding your pup’s micro chip (unless you elect not to have the pup microchipped in which case we need to know before the pup is greater than 6 weeks old)

When you pick up your puppy to take home we recommend you have:

  • A Crate or Pet Carrier for travel and Crate training

  • Toys for your puppy

  • A collar and leash

  • Food and Water containers.

SHIPPING POLICY

If at all possible please try to pick up your puppy personally. We believe that NOBODY will look after your puppy like you will. If not, the following options may be available.

  • Delivery by Dara’s Doodles- Dependent on where you live and our schedule, we may be able to deliver or at least meet you somewhere in order for you to receive your puppy.  These arrangements will have to be discussed with us well in advance and we may have to charge a fee to cover our travel expenses.

  • By Airline- Due to the complexity, the amount of time involved,  and the regulatory oversight on animal travel by air, we do not offer puppy shipment by air at this time.

  • By Shippers Specializing in Pet Transport- We believe this is the best alternative if you cannot pick up your puppy personally. There are numerous Pet Transport Services offered on the internet, please do your research when selecting one. The International Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA.org) maintains a list of credible Pet Shippers (both ground and air) and is a great place to start when searching for a shipper. You will need to make all of the arrangements, usually several weeks in advance, and be responsible for all charges incurred. We will do everything within our power to work with you and your shipper to facilitate the delivery. We will not be responsible for anything that may happen to your puppy while in the shippers care.  We also reserve the right to refuse to hand over a puppy to any person/shipper that in our opinion, does not appear to be willing and or capable of providing safe transport of your puppy.
